After the last soccer games of the season Lizzie's team had a special little presentation. They lined the girls up in front of the goal for parents to take pictures of the team, the coach thanked the kids and parents, then he passed out trophies to each off the girls. He said it was in no particular order, but a few times he put a trophy back in the box. At the end there were two trophies left. He called up the last two girls, his younger daughter Savannah, and my Lizzie. He said something to the effect of: "These are the two shortest girls in the league. But they're amazing players and have the most courage and heart of anyone I've seen play. They are our team's lionesses." That's my girl!!! (Sad bit -- I wasn't there! I had the camera at another game. Rats!) via Facebook
