A few years ago for Christmas our girls each got a cute tablet. They were cute, inexpensive, and died immediately. We got them set up just before Christmas, but come Christmas morning one of them wouldn't even turn on. The others died within a couple of weeks. Poor kids. FINALLY we made it up to them. They now each have a Kindle Fire 7" tablet that cost a touch LESS than the cheap knock-off tablets and are SO much better! They're currently $50 on Amazon and at Best Buy (perhaps other places too, but for sure those places). They do have ads on the lock screen and they only get online via wi-fi (no data), but they work great. They don't have much storage (8G) but have a spot for a micro SD card, which is an easy, cheap way to increase storage space. Just a tip in case anybody is looking for a good quality, inexpensive tablet to tuck away for the upcoming holidays! No I can get over the guilt of the dead tablets that have been haunting me from the corner of the dresser for a couple of years. ;) via Facebook
