Excedrin Migraine contains a solid dose of caffeine. You might wanna take that into consideration if you decide to take a max dose at 8 pm. Also, note to self: don't forget to call the doc in the morning to ask him to call in a prescription for the magical migraine diminishing pill (seriously, that stuff was fab!) Now i'm just bummed i'm out of lives in candy crush saga on my phone :-P via Facebook

A few more adjustments to how I organize my meds. Some weeks it takes me ages to sort them out and I always worry about accidentally putting one in the wrong sorter or forgetting to put one in at also. Though I do admit: spray paint!!!!! :-D via Instagram http://instagr.am/p/WKuMw-hLc5/

Any insomnia buddies around? I came to bed 3 hours ago, thanks to a blistering flare of The Migraine. I still don't dare sit up or get too fancy with what i'm doing, but things have settled enough that I expected to be asleep hours ago. I've even taken all my usual drowsy-inspiring nighttime meds. Time to dig for some ear buds and try out some meditation / relaxation /guided imagery to trick my brain. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can... :-) via Facebook

Since I have posted so many sunrise pictures it only seems fair to post one of sunset. I wish it looked as amazing as the actual sunset. Last night we stopped by the library. They had a shelf of books wrapped in paper called "blind date with a book". With their check-out system you dont' have to have access to a code or anything, so you just pick a package and check it out then find out when you open it up. I got a book about 51 ways to not contribute to global warming - on a budget (After this winter?! bring on a little warming!) and a western novel. I read the first 50ish pages of the novel last night. I've found a couple of fun new authors through surprise methods like this in the past. This is not one of those times. I enjoy a good western, usually settling with a good solid Louis L'amour. This guy makes Louis L'Amour sound like Shakespeare. As I was closing the book last night I literally turned to the back of the book to re-read the blurb back there to see if that would let me in on what the plot was supposed to be. This blind date was a bust. via Facebook

In Kate's class they're working on persuasive writing. The current topic is "Should 5th Graders Have Cell Phones". Kate's answer is no. So I asked for her specific reasoning. I shall immortalize them here so she can't go back on it. ;) 1: not responsible enough 2: won't spend as much time with their family because they're on their cell phone 3: won't get out and about as much and get the exercise they need. via Facebook

Poor kids need a bridge to get over the pile-up of snow on the side of the road to get to the bus. They're in it up past their knees! (Knowing that that's still short stuff compared to some areas.) I will accept snow for three more days, but after Valentine's Day all snow goes back to being Angel Dandruff and will not be accepted as "Snow" again until after Halloween. via Facebook

This just seems unfair. I was figuring that at least dealing with the frigid temps and non-stop snow would mean we had plenty of snowpack! We had at least 6" of new snow overnight and it's been flaking on and off all day. For heavens sake, we were just watching four deer in the back yard again. That should earn us a get-out-of-drought-free card for the summer, right? "This past January will go down as the coldest on record at the Salt Lake International Airport since 1949 and the first time temperatures have dipped below zero there since 2008. Some other facts to consider: it was the sixth coldest January since 1874, as well as the 13th snowiest January since that time. Reservoir storage, however, is not faring that well. From February of 2012 to February of 2013, McInerney said Pineview in Weber County is down 36 percent, Deer Creek is down 15 percent and East Canyon is down 34 percent." -Deseret News via Facebook

Watching "Rio" as a family this evening. There's a black-out at one point in the movie. Kate immediately said "well that has to be series wiring. If it was parallel then when one light went out it wouldn't make the rest go out too.". And just now she was just poking around a broken light-up yoyo and walked me through how it works ("when this spring flicks it then completes the circuit by.....etc.). Clearly she has enjoyed their latest science unit. via Facebook

Tonight Kate came and asked if I'd like her to make me somethign to eat. In my delightfully er... grumpy fashion of the evening I pouted and said I was fine and would figure something out later. She thought for a minute then asked if I could handle ramen noodle soup if the noodles were broken up really well. I just finished swallowing it down. Sure enough, I did need it. It may have been an excuse to stay up later, but I'm thankful for daughters who think of helping me even when I don't make it easy. via Facebook

I'm starting a petition for a redo about today. It's not a good day. No chewing (thus: hungry) Severe pain (through-the-roof variety) Computer Won't Start (and Dell wants me to pay $100 to tell me how to get around it! I can't even find a boot disk for Windows 8). Thankfully I have an old frankenstein computer I can use for the moment, but still ! NOT my favorite day. via Facebook

Dinner for me tonight: 1/2 a can of refried beans, touch of taco seasoning, shredded cheese melted on top. Served with a well ripened diced avocado (which could be smushed with my tongue). Dessert: chocolate pudding. The proper stove-top variety. The hardest part of not being allowed to chew is my great love of crunchy, salty foods. I already miss popcorn, seasoned chex or cheerios, pretzels, etc. Today's realization: If I stick to no chewing for 2 weeks that will go right over a company dinner somewhere nice like Tucanos or some such. I absolutely cannot go to Tucanos and eat nothing but Jello salad. That would be the very height of cruel punishment! of course, if it meant no more myofascial pain... via Facebook

Crap. After ruling everything else out (which is a good thing) we've ended with a diagnosis of tmj. I was first diagnosed with tmj 15 years ago and have gone through periods so severe that I could barely open my mouth wide enough to fit the tip of my pinky. I would wake up in the middle of the night with my jaw locked shut. he said my symptoms are significant and, ruling all else out, it makes perfect sense. The problem is this: nobody covers tmj treatments. In fact, there isn't much to do to treat tmj. I will be on a "no chew" diet for two weeks, heat, message, ibuprofen. And I need to see a tmj physical therapist. Which even the doctor said is expensive. He said he rarely recommends it, for that reason, but feels it would give me the best hope of managing the pain. Tmj is a very common aspect of fibromyalgia; I think is really rude to have to deal with both at the same time. via Facebook
