It is such a relief to have my 12 year old "baby" home again! She seems to have had a wonderful time at camp -- with the predictable amount of well handled drama. Thank you to the amazing leaders who planned so well and took such good care of the girls. Maybe next year it will be a little easier? Yeah, maybe logically, but the older these girls get the more chances I have to realize how darn hard it is to have them gone! (Side note: all my love to those of you who have had to say goodbye to children until after this life. Every time I feel sorry for myself, missing my children, I remember that it could be even harder than I ever hope to imagine.) via Facebook
