Why have I still not given this address to you? I know I want you to have it. I guess I'm just afraid of it being dumb. Maybe I'll feel up for it for Presidents Day. In any case we sure had a lovely Christmas. The girls were thrilled with their new presents, even though Lizzie's isn't working. I love that you went with the girls to get me surprises from my moms house. It's fun having new things for my American Girl doll. While it wasn't actually for Christmas, I love my new phone too. I'm using it right now to post this note! I love you babe and I'm glad you've had to speak Asian to be with us. I actually said "I'm glad you have had this vacation to be with us", but I'm using voice input to write this and that mistake was too funny to delete. It's getting late and I'm ready for bed. Much love to you, I'll see you in a minute when you come in.

Slept in late, enjoyed leisurely gift opening, took a nap, visited my mom and had a lovely early dinner and visited with a few other family members there too, visited my in-laws and visited with a few others there as well, went to an evening showing of Thor, kids all in bed now and heading there myself. All in all, a pretty perfect Christmas day! Very laid back and cozy, it was perfect for our family. Considering the nastiness of Lizzie's cough, I think it's a good thing we already had decided not to join in the large group activities for Christmas Eve. She seemed okay yesterday evening, but not so much today. via Facebook

Everything is opened and everybody is very happy. The girls each got a small (7") tablet. Lizzie's seems to be dead, which is very disappointing. They all worked before.! But I read of this possibility in the reviews. That's what we get for buying inexpensive Groupon deals :-/ That looks like the only exchange, though. I may have slept in, but I was awake half the night between listening to Lizzie's cough (yeah, she sounds terrible) and wondering what time it was, and my usual nocturnal restlessness. Sabrina enjoys making up tunes on the piano. She has one in particular that she has played frequently over the course of many weeks now. She has also caught on to the meaning of "do, re, me" (the song) since Kate has learned some solfege in orchestra and has taught it to her sisters. Right now Sabrina is writing down her song in solfege. I refuse to think of how much older I was when that finally "clicked" for me! via Facebook

I'm going to try a particularly difficult juggling act tonight : I can barely keep my eyes open, so I need to hit the sweet spot of going to bed... --before I fall out of my chair. --early enough to be able to be awake and at church at 9am tomorrow --late enough that I won't wake up in a few hours unable to get back to sleep. --before I hit "overtired" status and simply cannot sleep. --at the right time to be able to get my meds taken properly spaced out. --late enough so when I wake up to take another dose i can fall easily back to sleep. Last night I think I went to bed at a fairly normal time (though honestly I have no recollection) and I still didn't even blink my eyes open until noon! I started a new dose of a (non-narcotic/opioid) med the other day and it seems to be doing some real good (WOO HOO) but leaves me equally wired and wiped out. If I can just manage to keep some sleeping hours worked out reasonably (sleep is a vital and rather tricky element of management for my dumb body) then this could be a very excellent breakthrough!!! So goodnight... maybe... eventually. via Facebook

Wow, it's yummy!!! And really rich. And the perfect combination of crispy cookie and creamy cheesecake filling. After a piece (or *ahem* two) I actually can't eat the last two bites. Super easy way to get a cheesecake fix without a lot of fuss, fancy springform pans or water-baths in the oven. Mmmmmmmmm :)

Was asked once tonight if my girls are triplets, then once if Lizzie and Sabrina are twins (which is actually not that uncommon). There were several compliments on their hair, and a ton of compliments on their new capes. I'll have to share pictures tomorrow, But yes, the capes really are that lovely.
