A few days back Kate told me: "Mom, I think I know what I'd like to learn as I grow up!" Me: "What's that?" Kate: "I think being a lawyer would be fun." Me: "That sounds interesting. What is it that you like about lawyers?" Kate: "Well, they get to wear a robe and bang the hammer thing." Me: "Ah.... well, that's the Judge, actually, which is a little different." My internal dialogue: "I'll make you your own set of robes and provide a gavel every day of the year for less than the cost of a day of law school if that's all you want! O.o" ;) I love kids' reasoning. via Facebook
