Another of several little miracles we've been part of this season -- Today I was planning to throw in a roast I bought the other day for dinner, only to realize I'd lost track of time and it had gone bad. I was frustrated eating cereal for lunch, heading off to church. After church I was still grumbling at the fridge and freezer about not having something jumping out at me to make for a nice Sunday - before-Christmas meal. I gave up and sat down when there was a knock on the door. It was a neighbor dropping by asking if we could please use all the fixins for a turkey dinner. *blink, blink* She says she'd bought it to serve to her family but when it came to it she didn't feel like fixin' it up and they'd be just as happy with something simpler, so she wondered if we could make use of the food. The turkey breast was even defrosted already! So instead of eating scrambled eggs or cereal (again) for Sunday dinner tonight we had turkey dinner. It was beautiful, and delicious, and we felt very cared for.
