Lizzie's Ancient Egypt project on Cleopatra included this sculpture. It would have been much less stressful had I remembered to factor in clay shrinkage while drying. She used a Styrofoam head as a base,which had no give as the clay snugged up,so instead it cracked. We were able to revive most of it resulting in a more authentic "ancient" look, but it's a bit (or a lot) sketchy in other areas.
