Interesting... Comcast sent us a thing saying our modem is now out-of-date and won't get us the best possible speeds, so would we please upgrade. So we sent in the thingy and our new one should be here today, or maybe tomorrow. The "interesting" (read: frustrating, stupid, wanna-kick-them-where-the-sun-don't-shine) thing is that all of a sudden our "old" modem isn't only not managing super ultra mega speeds they claim, it just keeps not working at all, as of last night. I wish I wasn't so cynical that I assume they're pulling some crap to push people to upgrade their modems. But when everything, including their site, says we're connected, but the modem won't talk to things, all of a sudden like for several hours at a time, and with their track history, it's easy to assume the skeeziest. Thankfully I am on now! Those candies won't crush themselves!!! via Facebook
