Lizzie just got me on her school Google Drive (yeah, there are special ones for schools!) and showed me the holiday poems she has written recently: ------------------ How I Know… When there is mistletoe hung on the ceiling, And people hang wonderful light and bows, When we smile and sing carols, And tinsel is hung on the tree, When we put the elf on the shelf And there is love in the air Then it is Christmas! --------------------- Christmas is… Christmas is apple green and scarlet. It tastes like chocolate cake and sweets. It sounds like jingle bells ringing and the sweet sound of carols. And smells like cinnamon and chocolate chip cookies. It looks like mistletoe hung high. It feels like a warm cup of apple cider. --------------- Lights, decorations Presents, star Parades, candy Cupid, Blitzer Turkey, tradition ------------------------ I Wish … I wish that my mom could actually do more things than she can right now. I wish that I could play with friends more often. I wish I could have more friends. I wish that I didn’t have chores. I wish I could have a dad that could come home and play with me.
