Our kitties are far too clever. They all know where the "magic dot" comes from. When someone is playing with them and puts the laser dot in an inaccessible place, or stops playing "too soon", they will sit and stare in a most pouty fashion until we get it back out. Just this evening, I had been playing with the cats but got tired of it. I put the laser down. A few minutes later Shuri came over and jumped up to tease the laser pointer back down until Lizzie picked it up to play with them again. On the other end of the spectrum: this last litter of kittens caught on to the laser pointer game, but couldn't figure out when or how it happened. If they lost track of The Dot (or if we put it away) they'd go back to the last place they'd seen it. It was pretty funny the first time we walked back into a room and saw a kitten sitting with her nose in the corner waiting patiently for The Dot to return. via Facebook
