Crossing my fingers that this works for me. My whole complicated overnight sleep study showed that when I lie on my back the back of my throat closes up and stops my breathing on average 8-9 times per hour. So a special MAD is recommended. Since it's a fairly mild case of sleep apnea we'd like to avoid the complexities of CPAP. The MAD, however, is a dental device (read: NOT covered by insurance!) and only(!) costs $300 - $500. Basically it's this. Mandibular Advancement Device. If this is a good enough fit for it to work well for me, that's a HUGE savings!!!!
