Just finished seeing A Quiet Place. The last "scary movie" I saw was...hmmm, either What Lies Beneath or Sixth Sense. Basically, it's been a while. I actually am really impressed by how will this was done with a tiny cast and minimal sound. I feel like this story could have been told in any if several genres (it's not an inherently horrorrific story, necessarily), but the emotional tension was incredible. I did take my Eeyore stuffed animal with me. I am glad I did. I think the movie was great, and even better with something to hug. There are the expected jump- scares, but very little blood/ gore. I went to a 10am showing this morning which was much fuller than I'd have expected (20ish people, probably) but dead quiet through it all. Crazy viewing experience. Going to a late night movie, sad that @sodalicious doesn't serve at movie theaters. So Michael stopped at the store. We got concessions then stopped at a table to doctor our sodas.
