2nd day of school: I had one girl (poor Nina!) home sick today. Doc appt yesterday when she came home at the end of the day with a fever determined it's viral. Now I'm hanging out at the instacare for myself. By the time I dragged myself out of the house this afternoon to the urology office there were no doctors in! Grrrr. ... Between that last sentence and this one i had the most efficient doc visit ever -- major uti, as usual. Heading to my lovely Walgreens for my newest round of cipro. Thank heavens for instacare and antibiotics I'm not (yet) allergic to!!! Now to psych myself up for tomorrow morning's dentist appointment. I'm getting my new teeth put on! Oops. I was trying to flick a piece of squash away from the gas burner since Kate had just scrubbed the stove perfectly clean. Bright light suddenly near my face... and that's fire. Lots of fire. Fortunately I am a wind player and had it blown out by the time I could turn around toward the sink. Breathing in burned hair is hard on the lungs, and rather than a kitchen smelling richly of dinner it stinks of burned hair. Mmmmmm, tasty. Guess I'll be getting my hair cut this week! We've been doing crazy amounts of work around the house this summer. I snuck this picture of these girls after we'd removed the old furniture and had the carpets cleaned, but before we had the new furniture delivered.
